When I was in junior high I knew I wanted to be in the health care field as I desired to help people be healthy and enjoy life to the fullest. While attending Kent State University to become a nurse I was studying in my room when the word chiropractic came out of nowhere. It was like someone was talking to me. My mother had been helped tremendously by a chiropractor by the name of Dr. Anthony Jones, but I had not considered becoming a chiropractor before this. I researched what chiropractors did and I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life.
Upon completing chiropractic college I needed the signatures of two practicing chiropractors to take the state licensing test. I graduated with Dr. Jones' daughter Ann, so I stopped to see if she would sign my form as she was practicing with her dad, Dr. Jones. That is when I discovered she was moving to New Mexico and that is how I personally met Dr. Jones and we discussed my coming in to practice with him. I was thrilled at the opportunity as he had one of the best reputations in the area as being a superb chiropractor. It was the opportunity of a lifetime.
While practicing with Dr. Jones I met his daughter, Alice, who worked in the office as an assistant. In college we were given two office rules that were not to be broken - do not date the bosses daughter or the receptionist. Alice was both and I ended up marrying her. Dr. Wray and his wife Alice live in Liberty, Ohio. They have six children and seven grandchildren.
